Chubb has won a prestigious claims award for its work in the Victorian and Tasmania market.

The Sue Ronai Memorial Excellence in Claims Award is voted for and awarded by all Austbrokers members in Victoria and Tasmanian with claims staff at each member of the broker network in the region casting their vote.

Votes were based on 13 different questions concerning all aspects of claims management and settlement with Chubb taking out the top spot from Global Transport and CGU in second and third respectively.

Scott Simpson vice president, Melbourne branch manager of Chubb said the company is thrilled with the acknowledgement as claims represent a key part of their business.
“We are thrilled to receive this award,” Simpson said.

“Our claims reputation is a constant focus in our business and to receive such a positive affirmation is obviously satisfying.”

Simpson noted that claims are so important to Chubb and other insurance business as they offer a key touch-point with clients.

“It's the performance of our claims team that so often defines our engagement with customers, so it's pleasing to see that the high standards we hold ourselves to, resonate with brokers and customers,” Simpson said.

Ronai has a distinguished insurance career working in claims for industry players including Zurich and Austbrokers Phillips before she passed away from cancer in 2007.
