Zurich has announced the latest product updates to its Z.Stream service as it looks to strengthen ties with brokers using the popular platform.

The insurer will now offer management liability insurance commercial on the digital platform as the product specifically aims to protect SMEs with turnovers up to $50 million.

Brokers will now be able to bundle together up to seven types of management liability on the platform as part of the Bussiness Insurance package.

Head of financial lines at Zurich, Marc Luginbuehl, said the addition of management liability cover for SME customers will allow brokers to offer competitive options to their clients.

“Z.stream already offers competitive standalone policies and bundles across Business Insurance, Business Travel and Motor for SMEs,” Luginbuehl said.

“This new management liability offering is a fantastic addition which will increase the ease for brokers in providing comprehensive, tailored cover solutions to their clients in the SME sector.”

Luginbuehl stressed that the latest offering on Z.Stream offers points of difference that make the cover particularly attractive to smaller businesses.

“The new management liability offering differs from our existing management liability product for larger companies in that it is aimed at the SME market with up to $50 million in annual turnover.

“Cyber Security and Privacy cover come as part of the new SME management liability offering, making it attractive to the SME market.”

Luginbuehl noted the new offering, which is available through the Sunrise Exchange, goes hand-in-hand with other Zurich products to protect an important part of the Australian economy from emerging risks that threaten businesses.

“Increases in cyber attacks, unfair dismissal claims and penalties for work health and safety breaches can have disproportionate impacts on small and medium business,” Luginbuehl said.

“Small and medium businesses play an important role in the Australian economy and it is important for Zurich to work with brokers to protect this sector.”

For the third year running, Zurich was voted as the broker’s choice for online platforms in the Insurance Business Brokers on Insurers survey and Luginbuehl believes that the award shows the importance of Z.Stream to brokers.

“Winning this award the third year in a row is a testament to the ease of doing business with Zurich on Z.stream,” Luginbuehl said.
