Members of the Underwriting Agencies Council (UAC) will be voting on their new board members at the Council’s AGM, to be held on December 15.

Three current directors have re-nominated, UAC said. These were Heath Amber (Millennium), Emily Walker (Axis), and Linda King (Stirling).

King is currently UAC’s treasurer and Amber is the immediate past chair.

The additional nominees are: Suzanne White (Beazley), Jarrod Bell (Sportscover), Denver Van Gramberg (SURA), Rhys Mills (Solution), and Simon Lightbody (Steadfast Underwriting Agencies).

Eligible UAC member agencies’ principals will vote for the appointment of five directors, four for two year terms and one for a one-year term.

The appointments will be determined on a count of votes in favour of each nominee. The five nominees with the greatest number of votes will be appointed as directors.

The nominee in that group with the lowest number of votes will be appointed for a one-year term and the others for two-year terms, UAC said.

Current board members Lyndon Turner (chair), Kurt Nilsen (deputy chair) and Peter Fryer (secretary) were elected in 2015 for two-year terms, so are not required to stand for election in 2016.
