Major insurer Vero Insurance, co-major partner of the Brisbane Lions, has signed a two-year extension with the football club.

Vero began its partnership with the Brisbane Lions in 2012 as sponsor of the coaching group, and became co-major partner of the club in 2013.

The partnership extension will allow Vero to feature on the front of Lion’s guernsey and back of the away and clash guernsey, including significant signage, branding, and activation opportunities across Brisbane Lion assets until the end of 2018, said the club in a statement.

Anthony Day, CEO Insurance at Suncorp, said he was excited over Vero’s continued partnership with the Brisbane Lions.

“Vero’s continued sponsorship of the Brisbane Lions is a significant partnership for Vero,” said Day.

“The sponsorship provides the Suncorp brand with widespread national public exposure through the association with the most popular and fastest growing sport in Australia.

“From the broker perspective, the high brand awareness should ensure greater customer recognition when they are recommending Vero.

“It’s an important part of Suncorp’s strategy to focus on both brokers and customers,” said Day.

Greg Swann, Brisbane Lions CEO, said: “Vero [is] part of the family, our partnership is long-standing. It’s fantastic to have them re-sign with us and to have their continued support of the Brisbane Lions.”
