Making news this week one major insurer has gone through a number of changes with a new Aussie practice announced, another player has revealed a regional reshuffle and two insurers are recognised for their commitment to equality.

Changes abound at Zurich as the company announced a new practice to be based in Melbourne whilst international changes could also affect the company.

It was reported that the company is seeking to replace its international CEO, Martin Senn, following less than stellar third quarter results.

Another European-based insurer, HDI-Gerling, also announced a reshuffle of their Australasian business to create more cooperation between their regional businesses.

Stefan Feldmann will become regional head of ASEAN and Australasia from 1 January.

Finally, Allianz and Suncorp have been given a Government issued citation for their commitment to gender equality.

The insurers were the only insurance firms represented in the ninety business list as the industry looks to improve its approach to the issue.
