Insurance company appoints CEO to financial services arm

An insurance company has hired a former banking CEO to head up its financial services arm, as it gears up for what it is calling an "exciting growth phase".

Hollard has appointed former CEO of Bankwest’s retail bank, Mark Reid as CEO of Greenstone.

Greenstone is the financial services arm of the Hollard group in Australia and includes Hollard Financial Services, Hollard Administrative Services and the insurance comparison business, Choosi.

Hollard CEO Richard Enthoven said: “Greenstone is entering an exciting growth phase and Mark will be an important catalyst for our plans.”

“We're excited to have someone of Mark’s experience and proven financial services leadership joining the company. He brings a wealth of experience with a proven performance track record, both locally and internationally.

Reid said: “I am thrilled to be joining an organisation like Greenstone and continuing its successful journey. There are many exciting opportunities for sustainable growth and I look forward to working with the board and leadership team to maximize these opportunities.”

Reid joined Bankwest in September 2002 after working in the UK with HBOS plc. He held various roles at the bank including Bankwest retail bank’s CEO, CEO of Bankwest business banking and headed up the commercial, business and private banking division. He has also served on the board of Miracle Babies, a national based not-for-profit foundation.
