Insurer Zurich has claimed that it is the first commercial insurer to come to market with a new motor capability that will take the hassle out of vehicle selection when quoting motor insurance for commercial clients.

Brokers simply enter a customer’s registration into Z.streamXpressMotor and using sophisticated technology, Zurich will automatically present a year, make and model of the vehicle for confirmation.

Head of commercial distribution, Anthony Pagano, says Zurich is the first large commercial insurer to provide brokers with this technology.

“What’s exciting about this new motor capability is that we identified an often frustrating issue brokers experience when selecting a vehicle for their customer so our team sought to develop a solution brokers would value.”

“We are committed to investing in technology that provides greater efficiency and relevance to our brokers and this is a great example of making life easier for our customers. It is also a real demonstration of how ‘big data’ available in the market can be used for a positive customer benefit.”
“The most important aspect is that it removes the hassle for brokers, while creating greater certainty around vehicle recognition and allows for better priced risk.”

Zurich says it has already received positive feedback from brokers who are pleased with the new initiative.

“In addition to motor, we also continue to innovate in our marine capability. The commodity listing for marine cargo has been updated to reflect sharper rates, along with more relevant underwriting questions, a fast and easy response and the added benefit of immediate closing,” Pagano adds.
