Simplex has hired ‘broker champion’ Kate Fairley to head up a branch office in Victoria.

Having launched customer-facing Get Informed in April 2013 and a broker hub in October 2014, Fairley, who previously worked as an underwriter at Breeze, will step back into the broker business alongside the website commitments.

Fairley will head up the regional Simplex office in the Macedon Ranges and is looking forward to her new role.

“After speaking alongside each other as part of a panel discussion at the 2013 ANZIIF Regional Conference, I recognised that Kay Jackson and I shared a similar passion for the insurance broking profession; I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to work alongside Kay and her team,” Fairley said.

Get Informed, which celebrates its second anniversary next month, will continue “to operate as normal and will be able to grow further,” thanks to Fairley’s role with Simplex, a statement from the company said.

Kay Jackson, director of Simplex, spoke in glowing terms of Fairley’s contribution to the industry and believes her role within the company will strengthen ties with regional customers.

“Kate’s passion for our industry is synonymous with my own, both Angela & I are very pleased to welcome to our team another insurance professional whose primary focus is always the customer.”
