WFI Insurance has opened a branch in Sydney, it has been announced.

Founded in Western Australia in 1919, WFI is part of IAG and will open its first dedicated office in Sydney with Carley Bryne overseeing the expansion as regional manager.

With a focus on SMEs, farms and strata products, WFI will look to build strong relationships in its new market, Bryne said.

“Our focus is to ensure we build relationships with customers in Sydney’s small to medium sized business market. Aside from our quality insurance products, we have forged a reputation for understanding the needs of SMEs across the country.

“In today’s rapidly growing digitalised world, we want to give small business, often strapped for resources, the security of forming long‐term relationships when they choose us.”

In a bid to support the Sydney expansion, the insurer has planned a forum designed for SME owners to learn more about their insurance needs and the options available.

“This event is a smart way for us to demonstrate the value we offer SMEs as well as promote the personal touch we provide to businesses,” Bryne said.

“The message we want small business owners to hear is clear. If you run a beauty or hair salon, are a tradesman, retailer, café owner or managing a restaurant or bar, then WFI is a proven insurer worth having a conversation with.”
