Top NSW/ACT brokers revealed

NIBA has revealed the winners of its top prizes for the New South Wales and Australian Capital Territory region.

Brian Salisbury, director of Austbrokers SPT based in Miranda, took home the Broker of the Year Award at a gala ceremony in Sydney.

Runners-up for the award were John Fallon, director of Warren Saunders Insurance brokers in Hurstville and Jeff Murdoch, director at Emjay Insurance Brokers in Bankstown.

In the Young Professional Broker of the year category, Amanda Blackburn, national divisional manager at JLT, took home the prize.

Drew Ferns, branch manager of AJG in Wollongong and Eric Lowenstein, client manager and cyber risks practice leader at Aon in Sydney claimed runners-up honours.

Salisbury and Blackburn will go on to contest the national awards which with winners announced at the NIBA Convention in Melbourne in September.

NIBA CEO Dallas Booth praised each of the finalists and wished the winners well in the national competition.

“We wish Brian and Amanda the best of luck in the national awards, and we congratulate all the finalists, who exemplify the highest standards of professionalism and competence in the broking industry."
