Mobius Underwriting Australasia, part of SLE Holdings, has promoted Stuart Warden to general manager, replacing Tim Higgins who has left the company to pursue other things.

Warden was the agency’s senior property underwriter for nine months and before that, he spent 12 years at FM Global as a risk engineer and account manager.

Brad French, SLE Group managing director, said: “Stuart’s technical expertise as a chemical engineer, coupled with his management and underwriting skills, and senior-level relationships in the distribution market mean he is ideally placed to help take Mobius forward as the agency continues to grow since its 2010 inception.”

Ben Small, previously with FM Global for more than eight years, is set to join Mobius soon as an underwriting technical specialist.

In other news, Mobius plans to expand its product range to include commercial strata in the first quarter of 2015.

Warden said Mobius was actively seeking experienced industry personnel to help drive its expansion.
